I'm a little surprised no-one has yet listed a thread for Castle.

Great show, even if for nothing else but having Cap'n Tightpants in it

I'm hearing reports over the interwebs that the book Castle was researching and writing in the first series actually came out in the hiatus between first and second seasons and hit the best seller lists. Also that the series is now referencing chapters and pages in the book.

Has anyone read the book yet? What are everyone's thoughts on the show? Love it or hate it?

I have been watching and it is a nice bit of light entertainment. I have heard that there were some Firefly visual reference is an episode but I mustn't have been vigilant enough to notice them.

if you google "castle space cowboy", there's a scene from the show where he dresses up as Mal from Firefly as a prep for Halloween.

Paraphrasing a little, but:

His daughter says to him "firstly, there's are no cows in space; secondly, didn't you wear that? Like five years ago?" He replies "yeah... but... I like it!"

So cool that they're referencing stuff like this. Makes me a very happy browncoat
