*hugs* for your Gran and for you Kat. What have you been up to?

Work is still busy and we have been distracted by selling our apartment - papers all signed now but we face a very long settlement.

*waves* to the Sleepykat family - hope someone else stops by soon. :)

Hey Mallory!
How have you been?

Gran has had the flu and I've still got a chest cold and strep throat. But I have some good anti-biotics and should be over it soon. I hope. :)

So your moving? By settlement, do you mean the closing date? Yeah, a long wait for that makes it hard to get into another place very quickly.
Have you located another place that you like?
Anyway, I wish you luck and hope that you find something real soon.

*huge hugs*

Not really looking at the moment Kat. Settlement is the day the ownership of the property closes - is that the same as closing? We don't want to go down the path of bridging finance and we haven't received any deposit monies yet so it is premature to be looking seriously.

Hope you are both better soon. Are you studying at the moment?

greetings...

have been horrible lately...

however, I have discovered a bit of affection for bossa-nova....and a rediscovery of my love for shoe-gaze...(both prompted by Japanese music, of course... :D )

Hello Mallory, reppa and kat.

Mallory, i think it's wonderful that you're getting ready to move and i hope that you find that special place soon.
Yes, we're both studying, i'm also working as much as i can to reduce the student loans that will be coming due in 2 years. And sleeping, doing a lot of sleeping. hahaa

 reppa, you're not horrible. Blame it on the bossa nova! the dance of love. How are you? Have you been doing any puppy sitting, lately?

I've been bad about showing up here, there has been so much to do lately. But i will make an effort, i promise. :)

{{HUGS}} for all 3 of you.

greetings, again...

heh...yeah, I can be a bit horrible...

no puppy-sitting lately, though. did meet a neat little pug the other night, and a brindle boxer yesterday. very cool, that.

Good luck with paying off your loans K-lee. Lovely to see you here reppa.

It's November so I'm doing NaNo again. As a consequence my visits will be fleeting.

Big *hugs* for sleepykat, reppa, K-lee, wicca and tabath.

For those of you who remember Gordy from BDU she just got engaged.

Hey Mallory and green. :)

Sorry that I haven't been around much, things just got a bit overwhelming for awhile.

Mallory, good news about Gordy! She is such a sweetie! And good luck with the NaNo.
I wonder if wicca is doing that this year? I miss her.
Oh, and haven't seen or heard from Pepe for a while now. How is selling your home going? Have you seen anything that you're interested in yet? Anyway, hope that you're having a good month.

Green, how did you get forced into Facebook? LOL. Maybe they just like to keep in touch. :)
Hope that you're doing well and enjoying your job.

*hugs* for

Mallory
Green
K-lee
wicca100
reppa
Pepe
and
all else....

Hope you're feeling better now Sleepykat - in all senses.

I'm not sure that Facebook is any better at helping you keep in touch than regular forums. It does mean that I can see my nieces/nephews' photos though. I joined when Meg died so I could find out about her funeral details. Most people's pages just seem cluttered with virtual games etcetera.

We don't settle till March next year and looking is just depressing Kat. Everything has gone up so much it is ridiculous. We won't be able to buy back into the same area.

I haven't heard from wicca in a while. I'm sure I owe her an email.

Yes it is lovely to hear about Sam. She's set a date now too. August 2. Brenda ( Eritrea ) is engaged as well.

*hugs* to all. Take care green

Howdy all :)

Time for my semi annual drop in... Been another eventful year, although not in a good way so much! Managed to do my back in back in Jan last year, which ended up with lots of painkillers and lots of physio, but I'm on the mend from that. Then in May, June and July I had some trouble with my gallbladder which eventually removed 3 weeks ago, so I'm busily recovering from the op.

On a better note, I passed the first year of my Eng lang/lit degree and the second year is going well. I'm doing it part time through the Open University, so it will take 6 years in total.

Work is manic with me running 4 computer systems now each of which has training to maintain competence and national and regional user groups and conferences. In March alone I have 5 trips to the mainland for meetings or training the first of which is on my first day back to work after my sick leave from my op.

Anyway, enough of my dull news. I hope everyone is well and I'll leave my customary basket of *raspberry ruffles* in the corner for everyone to share :D

*hugs* for kat, mallory, k-lee, pepe, green, reppa and everyone that remembers me, and even those that don't :)

*squee" HI wicca. It's great to hear your news. Hope you have a better year health-wise. My work is still busy too but I don't think I'm juggling quite as much as you. Congratulations on passing your first year. I'm going to do a DELF proficiency exam for French later in the year just so I'll do some work!

I like the look of Korean script reppa but it is even more indecipherable to me than Japanese. I use the 'concentration' approach to finding things on my shelves. Once I know where something is kept I'm pretty right and then I just look for the right cover

I hope that you are doing okay Kat. *hugs* to you and to K-lee, green and ~Pepe~

thanks for the *raspberry ruffles*. It's nearly the end of the stone fruit season here so I'll leave some nectarine cake.

Have you guys spotted any croci? or robins yet?

You're welcome and thanks for the cake - virtual cake is all I'm allowed at the moment! With all the health problems I've not been as active as normal and have aroun 28lbs to lose to get back to where I was 18months ago!

 We have croci coming up through our front lawn - dad turfed it last summer and they must not have dug up all the bulbs before laying the turf. I'm waiting for the bluebells, their my favs :)

Hope your house/flat situation is getting sorted Mallory. Good luck with the French study :)

I'm off back to writing my latest assignment, which is due Wednesday, and I really must stop procrastinating *dramatic sigh* Whose idea was this degree again? Oh, yeah mine *slaps forehead*

Thanks Mallory :) I've come to the conclusion that I'm 'team Jedward' (for any Brits reading, that doesn't mean Jedward from X-Factor *shudder*). I was watching the extras from New Moon and it was all 'team Jacob' vs 'team Edward' and I like both; therefore go team Jedward! :D

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend - I'm procrastinating on another uni essay! This time it's characteristics of 'academic writing' *sigh*

*raspberry ruffles* for kat, Mallory, kay, pepe, green, reppa and everyone that wants :)

greetings...

wicca -- for a while I was having problems figuring out what ya meant, but it's that Twilight stuff, right? haven't read or seen any of it -- correction, I was in the same room as the tv when my niece was watching it...

right now, I'm going through the most recent Wheel of Time book...

greetings...

Mal -- well, actually no...did watch most of the Blackhawks first Stanley Cup win since 1961, though...nearly hurt myself celebrating...

also watched a lot of the softball world series, but since my team was eliminated early, it didn't hold much charm...

too lazy to come up with a list...

Hey Mallory. :)
How have you been lately? It's winter time there, I know cuz when it gets hot here it's cold there. Been storming here, was without power Wednesday evening/Thursday early morning but we have a generator so we lucked out.

I'm looking forward to the weekend, tonight friends are coming over to watch a DVD but tomorrow we're going to a movie after meeting for dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. Not exciting but fun.

Anyway, have a good weekend, Mallory. And reppa, too. :)

greetings...

Mal -- been watching some of it, but not a lot...a couple of the teams I wanted to see advance did, but some others, not so lucky...would have been happier if both Brazil and Argentina had lost, but...

heya, kat...
